Lauryn O. King is a skilled artist and dedicated educator specializing in ceramics and fibers. She holds a BFA in Sculpture and Fibers from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH, and has continued to expand her knowledge through many workshops and travel. Lauryn’s artistic practice blends a dynamic range of 2D and 3D techniques, including sculptural ceramics, mold construction, and complex fiber weaves.

With over 8 years of experience working in production ceramic studios, Lauryn has developed expertise in large-scale ceramic production, mastering techniques that include high-output production, glaze formulation, and kiln firing processes. This hands-on experience in a professional setting has been instrumental in shaping both her artistic practice and her teaching approach, allowing her to impart valuable technical insights to students.

Lauryn serves as an adjunct professor at Xavier University and Miami University, where she teaches courses in ceramics and 3D design. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes experiential learning, encouraging students to explore their creativity while mastering technical skills in the process.

Lauryn has earned numerous accolades, including the Grand Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts from the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Ohio (AICUO).
